International Artistes for Favor on D Farm!

Growing Strong?

They really did say that agriculture is the next big thing, but who would have thought that this event was going to grow like this, from a small seed, just with an “agricultural name”!

Bound and Gagged…. A thing of the past

Esther and Crew having fun at Let Loose 7

The New Year began in an explosive way! Mind you I’m not talking about fireworks and star lights, but Let Loose 7 and 8. Who were once bound, chained and just plain fed up of defeat in 08, flocked to the Upper Room on Cipero Street in San Fernando and Peace and Love Club on Charlotte Street in Port of Spain over the New Years weekend (Editor's note: I put in the shameless advertising. Plus... Upper Room's got pool tables!). Many purposed to have fun, rock back, and take in what we listen to on the Perfect 10 night after night. For me however it was a time of reunion with brethren.

GOSPELFEST 2008 - One Awesome Experience

Image

“Turn it around, open the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing overflow. Turn it around, open the windows of heaven, pour out a blessing, we cannot contain. Let it rain!”

And rain it did, but not the typical showers you would expect in a tropical paradise, it was a shower of praise and worship, as thousands of Barbadians and visitors alike flocked to the Farley Hill National Park to witness one of the mega events of the ever-popular Gospelfest on Sunday May 25, 2008 – One Awesome Day. The festival, which began on Sunday May 18, saw a host of local, regional and international artistes ranging from drama and mime to dance and song.

Caribbean Connexions: Reaching the Nations

Image

It started in the year 2006, in Trinidad, with Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) hosting its first Caribbean Students’ Conference under the theme, Caribbean Connexions: Joining Hands for the Great Commission. Two years later, the objectives of such a dynamic conference geared towards students were realised, as students from all over the region gathered for this phenomenal event once again. The theme for this year’s conference was Caribbean Connexions: Reaching the Nations and it was held June 26th to June 30th at the Cascadia Hotel in Port of Spain. Fifteen nations were represented with approximately 180 persons in attendance inclusive of the speakers, organizers and a team from the U.S. A. which came to assist with a summer outreach project in Tobago. The conference was mainly geared toward Christian students. This group was targeted because the organizers wanted individuals firstly be restored to their first love Christ, so that a desire to share this love with others would blossom.

Praise for A Cause

They filled Church on the Rock, and the yard downstairs. Helen Baylor drew a crowd.

The award winning artiste was hosted by Is There Not a Cause (ITNAC) for a free concert which, from all looks was a success.

Renaissance, Roxanne James and a few others went before, but when we got in, One Voice was cueing up.

One Voice is a choir made up of persons from a variety of churches, and they gave us a spirit full of praise. People were up and dancing as they sang one of Israel and the New Breed’s songs.  They stepped up and showed themselves as a strong choir with well tuned voices. An excellent introduction to the headline act, Helen Baylor.
