He’s the big man with a soft heart when it comes to worship and total giving over of self for the things of God. Kevon Thomas, no stranger to many devout Jamoo listeners, has become notorious with Isaac Blackman and the Love Circle.
Life for him began in primary school with drama and the arts and has been with him ever since. (That’s over thirty years of commitment and passion!) He has appeared in many music festivals and has done so as far as Scotland and Miami
With his first album “Protector”, he was able to make a statement with some of TnT’s heavyweights in Gospel and dear friends. Artistes such as Gitta Dan on Precious, Marge Blackman-Mohamed who joins Kevon on “The River Of God” and Isaac Blackman and Koen Duncan who spice things up on “Army Of God”
Being an artiste by itself is an amazing thing. To use the very talent that has been given for His honour and glory is what pleases the King. However when you are able to give back to the very people around you, that’s when you grasp heart of Him. He has been heavily involved in WoodTrin Steel Orchestra and has also been the leader of The Arouca Youth Choral (AYC) and the Musical Director of Five Rivers Youth Choral.
This weekend you can have the opportunity to see him sharing personal moments with songs both old and new and those that have never been performed live. A night dedicated to offering praise and thanks for the things that Christ has already done, come see Marge Blackman, Gitta Dan, and music Festival winner, Llettesha Sylvester. It’s all going down on Saturday June 5th at the Upper Room, Cipero St San Fernando at 7:30 sharp. Tickets are on sale for $40.00. For more info call 751-6826 or visit www.facebook.com/kevonthomas
