Carnival Camp Survival List

The moment of Carnival camp is nearly upon us (I’m so excited) we get to meet friends in another forum other than in church. Meeting them in the natural state, seeing them in everyday life is always interesting; the team at Gospel Globe has put together a Camp Survival list for the most seasoned camper to the noob (tech talk for newbie).

Camp Survival list

Well we have to find out the most essential for surviving a weekend from the luxuries at home so knowing what to pack is necessary.

  • Bible, notebook, pen. Vital for the days ahead you would learn so much you won’t be able to contain all that knowledge in your head,  writing would help you grasp what you didn’t hear later when you reflect.
  • Clothes and underwear for 4 days and 4 nights and maybe a light jacket or sweater according to the weather or temperature in your area.
  • Personal  Hygiene equipment we need them to survive and others need us to survive us…please people don’t forget these things;  toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, face wash, bath soap, anti-perspirant deodorant, cream, perfume/ body sprits (not necessary) , towel or towels .

  • Sleep necessities: head covering (ladies you know as well as I do your hair doesn’t look that good without being covered before you go to sleep) sheet set, one to cover with and one to sleep on, PILLOW, if you are anything like me a pillow from home can’t be replaced by anything, it makes sleep come easier.
  • Eating utensils; plate, spoon, cup, knife and bowl. Some camps might provide these things but make sure before you eat out of your hand in camp.
  • Please don’t forget to walk with any medication that you need to take, getting sick at camp is not fun at all.

Camp rules some camps may have a variety of rules to protect campers from danger and ensure the best camping experience for all campers.

Attending all sessions and being on time is priority if you are to have an experience with God (which should be your main goal in camp) and friends, sessions include chapel, morning exercise, devotions, sports, team activities etc…

Big NO’s at any Christian Camp, alcohol, firearms, tobacco, gambling, males in the female’s dorms and vice versa.  There would be a limit to the amount of technology that you can carry at camps, but don’t worry its only for a couple days, you’d survive. You should also limit the amount of jewelry that you carry to camp…ladies it’s not a fashion show you don’t need to step like a supermodel, modesty and simplicity is best . Only walk with what you would need, one chain a nice pair of earrings, banquet is the official time to step be prepared but don’t overdo it.

Things the GG team would like you to take note of and walk with to camp:

an empty heart and belly,

mosquito repellant,

snacks,

extra towel if there is a pool,

more than enough undies,

purge tablets for when you get back home (yuh MUST purge after a camp!),

toilet paper (somehow toilets always missing TP at camp).

Have a wonderful camp glean everything that you can from God, continually keep your mind on Him through-out time that you have fun with friends. While chronicling the time with the memories take time to take some ‘bess pics’ of your fun times at camps, the hauttest shoes for banquet night, the guy with the most swag, the most hilarious sporting event, lazy morning exercisers, remember to capture the best images that no one would be embarrassed to be seen in and send it in to GospelGlobe.com to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Make sure to have the title as “WE ARE GOSPELGLOBE CITIZENS.”  Have a safe, fun and God filled camp everyone!
