Craig C Murdered

At 2:28am this morning I flew off my bed pondering upon the whereabouts of a brother of mine. Worried about his safety and uncertainty of his return home, I called my mother and we made attempts to make contact with him on his cell.  He answered! He was safe… Relieved at the news we sat in wait in our computer room on his arrival. I then decided why not log into Facebook, I was calm…

I looked through my messages and read one that stated that my other brother in Jamaica had died. My heart and stomach was filled with 50 times more worry, uncertainty and grief than I had initially. My brother in Christ was taken without cause due to crime.

Gospel Artiste Craig C was killed last night at 10pm in a shooting incident in Portmore St. Catherine Jamaica. I was informed that he was to meet his cousin at his aunt’s house. The house is said to be surrounded by some bushes which made him unaware of what was occurring..

Upon walking up to the house he heard noises and realized that a robbery was in effect. Coming to the assistance of his cousin, shots were fired and he was shot in his face. Craig died on the spot.

The Facebook community laments his death and has posted well wishes on his wall. I noted however that craig made the interesting post below.

Everyone rejoices that he has made it right with God and takes confidence in knowing that he is with his maker. Makes me wonder of how much we value our salvation and time upon earth.

My young sisters, mother and myself, have had the honor of being his in presence and got to know more of this Gospel Minister. He was truly a sweet, soft spoken and VERY TALL individual that I would never forget. My condolences go out to family and friends especially those in the church that have worked with him. Rest in peace my friend.
