Trinidad and Tobago is an island known for its diversity in music, and one such genre that is being embraced to a greater level is that of Contemporary Fusion in our Gospel. Within the last decade it has evolved, and many of our youth have taken it head on; blending the new school with the classical. SOS (Source of Strength) is one such band that has goes beyond the confines of ‘ standard’ and breaks forth with feel good and dynamic worship.
SOS was founded by Gary McSween and Dwayne Thomas in January of 2010. Since then they have made significant headway in music, media and has created a strong presence in the industry. Recently, after sitting with Gary and sharing observations and passions on Gospel music, I sensed that this man was beyond visionary.
While many may dream of doing something ‘different or revolutionary’ in music ministry, he and team go after it in the wisest manner of seeking God’s face, getting all the facts and educating themselves fully in all that can be done to make their mark.
The now 14 member band consists of vibrant youths from various churchs and have created together what is what I call ‘something worth supporting’. Their sole puropse is to lead young people into a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God through worship.
With their unique sense of fashion combined with their worship from hearts that earnestly seek the face of God, they are indeed unforgettable, inspiring, and fun!

After listening to one of their latest singles, 'Be Transformed' I'm certain that they have accomplished quite the feat that many are yet to do. With music of that caliber they are without a doubt ready for the world. I applaud them.
The group is looking constantly for ways to be in touch with it's listeners and has recently launched the 'Be Transformed Contest'. For more information you can click on the YouTube video below or visit www.bit.ly/btransformedcontest
