The First “Positive” Album. Ever!

Alb um Cover: Never Let Go

Joel Murray, also known as “Positive” hit the airwaves hard in 2007 with his first single “Never Let Go”, which became an anthem to many. The song could be heard everywhere within the Caribbean and eventually became the newest craze in ringtones for young people and adults alike.

Following the success of “Never Let Go”, Positive released “Only in the Ghetto” which firmly demonstrated that  he was serious about his music, and that Positive had a God-inspired talent.

Now he is launching his first album by the same name in a twin island gospel explosion. It’s happening both at the UWI Performing Arts Center in St. Augustine, and at Bishops High School in Tobago, so no one will be left out.

Kern Cowan, manager to the young hit maker calls the debut album a “high quality fourteen track album”. Collaborations on the album include, Monty G, Mr. Lynxx, Sherwin Gardner and Gitta Dan. This is a slew of chart toppers all together in one small package.

Cowan told Gospel Globe that  soon the album will be available anywhere.

A heavy distribution network is being undertaken to ensure that he lives up to his promise. After a few minutes of listening, it seemed as though the locations for purchase were best put in the usual Caribbean melodramatic manner. Except it won’t be melodrama.

You will be able to buy CDs from Tobago and Trinidad to Walmart and a slew of other stores and outlets in the USA, your neighbourhood CD store virtually anywhere (even as far as Europe), and the ever popular “Lion of Judah” website.

In short, where can you buy the album after it’s launched? Everywhere. Or should I have said “Anywhere”.

Positive has also launched a new video for his song “Hold Me Closely” which is the latest release off the upcoming album. If the music video is any indication, we’re in for something electrifying – to say the least.

The album will be in stores and available for sale August 31st 2009. An album launch date will be announced soon. What we are at liberty to say is that it’s going to be in September.

Get yourself some nice clothes if you’re attending, because the dress code will be elegantly casual. Think of it as an evening at a lovely musical, as Cowan reports that it will be a very theatrical show.

I’ll say no more, but to use Cowan’s expressive closing description of it all.

[Broad smile, deep dreamy sigh] “Positive is extremely talented, and it’s such an exciting project. I’m glad to be a part.”
