If you want to visit to Faith Assembly International (FAI), and don’t know the directions, call them to find out. If however, you’re not in Trinidad, or have some difficulty in attending, watch their service live online.
Visit their website at http://www.faithassemblyonline.com/ and see for yourself. They have a bit more media on the site, but our favourite here at Gospel Globe is the live feed.
From Friday 20th March 2009, FAI's services on Friday night and Sunday have all been broadcast live on the internet, through equipment owned by, and hosted at the church.
They're not the first though. First Church of the Open Bible is also the first church in Trinidad to go live online. They've been broadcasting through their website since last year. You can find their feed at: http://www.obsc-caribbean.org/
According to Rebecca Fuentes of FAI, they wanted to spread God’s word all over the world. Also, some of the FAI members got married, and some families have moved abroad, and now they can keep up to date.
Call in
Anyone can call in as well during services at (868) 484 0991.
They’ve gotten calls from Canada, Brazil, Venezuela and as far as Dubai. It seems they’re meeting that goal of spreading the word all over the world.
Technology handled right "at home"
They put it all together themselves according to Fuentes. If you were to visit the church you would understand why that is very possible. We’ll also leave that up to you to visit and see for yourself.
New Services
There are some services that will now run during the week. On Thursdays, there will be a panel discussion with young leaders as they thrash out a variety of issues. You can call in for that one too.
Will people be able to see weddings and other sorts of functions live as well? No they won’t. Only FAI’s services will go live online.
That’s bad news for wedding “stormers” though. Now you’ll have to do it the old fashioned way, and hope no one notices you!
