Mine eyes have beheld the splendor of the greatest device made by man. There it sat as I held within my arms; it was something that made my jaws drop, and looked at my reflection in the shiny screen. I was in disbelief of the moment that I was living in. With it's feathered weight body and sleek contours, I thought nothing else but 'WOW'! The i-Pad had me in awe!
Afraid to touch the screen at first, I took my index finger and pressed the menu button as the icons were neatly arranged before me looking ever so vibrant on the screen, and each one screaming 'Touch me, touch me'.
With dimensions of 9.56 in(h),7.47 in (w) and .53 in (d), it looked good! The design was immpecable with simple colors of white, black and silver. There were no buttons on the device except for one which was for the menu, to take one to the main screen. There were also no excessive ports as a regular laptop and everything was ever so concealed.
As we spoke to the owner we,(my girlfriends Rebekah and Meigan), were educated as to its internal features/capacity. Dependant upon the model they came with storgae capacity of 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB. The display according to sites was 1024 × 768 px, and 9.7 in (25 cm) diagonally. It's has what you call fingerprint-resistant and scratch-resistant glass for a screen.
There was no camera and USB ports as some may have hoped. Of course no CD-ROM drives were in it (or else it would have been much thicker! duh).

While conversing with all present in the room who were awestruck, I accidentally tilted the screen and realised that the display adjusts to either landscape or portrait! OMG! It supports all four screen rotations. (I wanna see that on a Blackberry! Ha!)
To the sides were few buttons and after research they were in fact for wake/sleep,volume up/down, along with the screen rotation lock.
The audio was excellent! We had the speaker on and were able to hear everything clearly. Bearing in mind that we were in and enclosed A/C room it was still rather LOUD! The iPad also contains a microphone that can be used for voice recording. It also connects to wireless devices such as a keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth but file transfer is not yet integrated.
Getting all of that out of the way, I went into the browser (Safari) of course to see how things looked from the web on the tiny marvel. I typed in the search bar with the on-screen keyboard www.GospelGlobe.com and there it came up more vivid and bright than my Toshiba Satellite Laptop. Navigation was just a scroll of the finger and done with minimal effort.

I didn't stay there long as I was in and out of applications. One that has won my heart was Talking Carl!
Absolutely unaware of what I was going into, I opened the app and looked at him staring back. Of course Rebekah at this time was chatting non stop and it took all that she said, recored it and said it in the cutest little voice ever! (By this time we were all laughing uncontroallably). She insisted on making him do other things, so she poked at his tummy and he laughed, then his mouth where we were sure he was going to bite as well as his eyes where he expressed great agony.
I didn't go into the mail seeing that it was someone else's but after seeing the range of access online it makes me yearn for one more!!
The photo display viewed on full screen mode was astonishing! Very easy organization and usability. It was like having those expensive LCD phot frames. To get the photos on, one can use a SD Card Reader or Camera Connector.

Don't get me started on the videos! The quality was much better than that of any 3D movie seen locally! Hello! (I'm sorry if I'm not typing in the true sense of a reporter/critic but it makes you go wild! I felt like a child at Christmas) YouTube videos were just as amazing!

The e-Reader (library) was one place that I wanted to look at as well as Oprah had raved about it on her program. I went into it and there were books neatly organized there on a shelf; giving the libray experience. Thumbnails of all the book covers stood in rows and was begging to be read. I went into one, and as seen on Oprah, placed my finger on the bottom right of the screen and flipped the pages! Yip at this point i was sold!!! I want one! There were so many other features to talk about but I can't put it all here. Google it! Do your research and get your iPad today!!!!
